Jim Mora Chargers

The San Diego Chargers are currently without a head coach after firing Norv Turner once the season was over, but they've got their eyes on a prize. Reports are out as of Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, that UCAL head coach Jim Mora has supposedly been contacted by the Chargers for the position.

The Los Angeles Times state multiple sources in reporting the Chargers have indeed "contacted" Mora, but that he is "likely to remain" with UCLA. Well, he will remain if the school improves the team's facilities and his assistants get increased pay.

UCLA has given raises to some of his assistants already.

There have been rumors that Mora could be someone the Chargers would look at for the head coaching job, but it never seemed too serious. While there may be interest from both sides, the Chargers haven't interviewed a single candidate since letting Turner go.
