Justin Bieber sued by ex-bodyguard for assault, wages

A former bodyguard for The Biebs sued the pop superstar Thursday seeking more than $420,000 in overtime and other wages and claims he was repeatedly struck by the singer during an October confrontation.

Moshe Benabou's lawsuit claims Bieber berated him and repeatedly punched him in the chest after a disagreement about how to handle a member of the Grammy-nominated singer's entourage. After he walked away, Bieber fired him, Benabou's lawsuit claims.

Benabou claims he was mistakenly told that he wasn't entitled to receive overtime despite working 14 to 18 hour days between March 2011 and October 2012.

An email message sent to Bieber's publicist was not immediately returned.

Benabou is seeking unspecified damages on the assault and battery claims and $421,261 in unpaid overtime, vacation and other wage benefits.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – For the record, the first hug from AJ McCarron went to his dad; the second to his mom.
Then a bunch to other assorted family got in for high fives and pats on the back as McCarron, standing on an electrical box, reached up and into the front row of Sun Life Stadium where Alabama fans wildly celebrated the Crimson Tide's 42-14 destruction of Notre Dame for a second consecutive BCS title behind their star quarterback.
It was then, finally, when McCarron reached over and kissed his girlfriend, Katherine Webb, the reigning Miss Alabama and a young lady that, due to ESPN repeatedly flashing to her during the game broadcast, is America's newest celebrity.
So let it be known, here on a charmed night in the charmed life of AJ McCarron, it was still family first. Webb just had to wait.
"That means he's a family guy, a mama's boy," Webb said with a laugh to Yahoo! Sports. "And I'm totally good with that. It's that personality that attracted me to him in the first place. It was never about his status on the team."
Who knows where the pair's relationship goes, but if its stands the test of time January 7, 2013 will go down as a night of all nights for them.

The BE35 aircraft was heading to Downtown Island Airport in Knoxville, Tennessee, when it started to experience a mechanical problem. The pilot radioed for help saying that the plane was vibrating violently and was instructed to divert to Flagler County Airport . The plane crashed into a home surrounded by a wooded area about a mile from the airport.

Federal Aviation Authority issued a statement  saying:

“A BE35 aircraft enroute to Downtown Island Airport in Knoxville, TN, reported a mechanical problem and was diverting to Flagler County Airport in FL. Plane crashed one mile east of airport into a house. Three persons on board.”

Flagler Live reports that the BE35 is a single-engine four-seater plane.

Charlie Ericksen, the Flagler County commissioner, said:

“(The plane crash left) just a destroyed roof area with smoke still coming out of it, scattered debris. All we saw was the tail section sticking out of the roof.”

The homeowner, Suzanne Crockett, was uninjured during the crash. Crockett was, however, visibly shaken by the ordeal.
